Keith on Scythe
I designed the Scythe, to be a real workhorse of a frame; to be a favourite amongst the chainsaw weilding trail builders and core freeride guys who ride their bikes MORE, and clean them LESS.Basically design and build a frame that was all about reliability and strength in simplicity, whilst also achieving excellent performance. The frame is tough and durable, and requires minimal maintenance... it just plain works, and will keep working!I spent enough time riding Whistler and the North Shore mountains to know that having a bike that can get the most out of both places can be tough and thats why I designed it to have adjustable travel and geometry. The scythe is a very versatile freeride bike that can be used to ride up to the top of the trailhead and then either raced all the way down, as it's as fast as a lot of pure bread DH bikes, or ridden on more old school steep and nasty tech trails. You can even use a shorter shock (8.5x2.5") and reduce the travel options to 7.3" and 6.4", so that the frame can match up with your fork choice. Lots of versatility so you can dial it to be the bike you want it to be.I made the Scythe to have a predictable, bottomless feel to the travel which makes it great for hitting jumps and drops with confidence. The Frame is incredibly stiff so you will be able to rail those corners with speed and control, before powering through the rock garden with a grin on your face. The Scythe is a bike for hardened riders who don't just talk the talk, but also walk the walk!

Whatever you throw at it, the Scythe can take the abuse. Whether you're pounding out laps in the Bike Park or self shuttling your local freeride trails, the Scythe takes it all in it's stride. The workhorse of the Banshee line, the Scythe is for those of you who are more concerned with riding than posing.
